Anschler Shock Absorbers for ZT?
Hi
I am looking to replace the front shocks on my ZT 2004 CDTi Saloon, mine are the original Delphi ones RNB001040 QK and RNB001050 RE (Brown / RED) would Anschler shocks fit? Part numbers 635750091 and 635750111? Can anybody explain if there is any difference with a 75 shock compared to a ZT one, I know you get Standard / Comfort / Sport but is that down to the Springs and not so much the damping of the shocks? |

The stroke of the ZT piston in the damper is much shorter than a 75, and the damping rate is considerably different.
Brown/Red is a sport comfort spring in ZT parlance, although it's physically possible to fit a ZT spring to a 75 damper, you won't like the results. It's virtually impossible to fit a 75 spring to a ZT damper, and it will often become coilbound. 75 spring wire diameters range from 13.8 to 14.8, through 14.8, and ZT springs range from 15mm to 16.2, and the free length is considerably different between the two. If they are listed as ZT then yes, if they are listed for 75, or indeed both, avoid them like the plague Brian |

Interesting, as I’ve just bought a ZT-t Mk1, how do you tell what spec you have ? Is it purely by colour?

And ZT Comfort front springs are Red/Brown iirc from when I replaced mine a year or so ago. Rears are Light Green/Light Green.
