From my reading on the topic, there are no stupid questions about KV6 timing belts!

There are some stupid answers however.

Just to satisfy everyones curiosity................ I have got the kit coming from DMGRS next week and am in the process of stripping down. I am at the point where I need to take off the aux belt idle roller by removing the T55 Torx bolt.
The Torx bit I have will not fit on when attached to the ratchet spanner as it hits the bulkhead - I was just asking what others have done. Then I realised that I just needed to buy a T55 spanner and all would be well. See.... told you it was a stupid question |

I use a very slim ratchet similar to this one for restricted access bolts:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bahco-205...EAAOSwLmhdLIiQ The bits fit inside the ratchet and so the total width ends up being the length of the bit itself. |

I use the T55 bit (3/8" drive) with a ratcheting spanner slipped over the hex shank.
Edit: Found a picture:

I bought a socket and ground it down with an angle grinder until it fitted in the gap.
