Default Symphony Blank

What is the rectangular plastic blanking panel for - the one to the right of the Symphony's display panel?

Behind the blank, there's an opening which is obviously designed to house something. But what?

Yes I eventually stumbled across a pic in the Audio & Navigation Systems manal that came with the car. Silly me!

Can I retro-fit Low Line to my existing Symphony Mike?

If so, which parts would I need?

Doubtless they'd cost a packet, even if they're still available.
