Massive coolant loss V6
I’ve been away all weekend at Moto Fest Coventry and got a call from my wife saying her V6 has lots of smoke coming up from the bonnet area. Luckily she was at the Daughters house and parked it up on the drive.
Got home tonight and went to have a look. Oh dear. No coolant when I undid to cap. Had plenty of spare pre mixed coolant. Put 2 litres in, still not enough. Put a further 2 litres in and started to hear water dripping or rather pouring onto the drive. As the undertray is in place it’s hard to see where it’s coming from. Will get it up on ramps in the morning, remove the undertray and have a good look. Something significant has failed. Plus the alternator needs replacing but thanks to Flying Pig I have one ready to use. What a weekend!

If you couldn't spot the culprit when you went to check the coolant level it's most likely a bottom hose gone.

The steam sounds like water from higher up.
My guess is thermostat radiator related.

Will post up my findings later today. Just hope it's a split hose and then replace.
