Morning everyone from rain lashed Cornwall.
My friends arrived from Kent after a 7 hour drive, should have only taken by 5 hours. But they hit 3 lots of roadworks, plus one huge accident. Still they are here in one piece that’s all that counts.

Morning, dry but a wee bit cool here. My other half wants me to make an apple pie, she got a load of apples off a friend. Now, the possible complication is I have never made anything involving pastry so could end up with a pie but could equally end up with a discus. Not helped by the fact that there must be millions of apple pie recipes online. We were going down to spend the weekend with friends in Leeds, tried to get the Friday off but there was nobody to cover. Ended up working 14 hours THEN driving down to Leeds, Ging was reaching over massaging the back of my neck for the last few miles.

Thank you Halford's! Daughters battery on her Ford Kuga has gone belly up & wont accept a charge, What a awkward place that battery is in to replace, It's tucked up right up against the firewall & you have to remove the air box assembly, the wiper motor assembly & the cowling around the bottom of the windscreen to get access to it She ordered a new battery from Halford's who have a mobile fitting service
Saves me breaking my back bending over it.

Finally managed to get out and get everything I need for the apple pie attempt, tried twice earlier but the heavens opened.
Looking at the recipe I'm going to try there's other recipes at the bottom of the page: one is an apple, cheese and potato pie . . . . don't fancy that |
