Check you haven't got any of your modifications wired into the canbus system, it looks a lot like the illumination wiring (Just a yellow band every inch or so around the red and white wire)

Thanks
Thanks for the help guys that’s amazing , I will check tomorrow and post back. The colours going to the cruise control don’t match mine from memory so maybe I have just got the wrong connector. I’m going to check that and post pics tomorrow if not. Thanks again, I really appreciate all your thoughts and replies

I mean I must have the right connector somewhere if not because it was working the last 8 years ! I may have spliced led lights to the canbus but somehow I doubt it as they all fade with my side light dimmer control.? Would they still fade on the canbus as well. ?

Thanks for the help guys, I finally fixed the cruise control if turned out to be the wrong cable as told to me. It was a cable that goes to a grey box behind the stereo. I think its the interface for rhe steering wheel controls. Turns out it has similar cables except a big green one is a give away. I now have it all working again. Thanks so much to everyone who contributed.
