Rear seat cushion
I was also struggling with clipping the seat securely. Had been driving with an annoying rattle. Eventually, I found by slipping my hand underneath and lowing the seat, I found that the clips and hook didn't quite align. So, knelt in the foot well and facing the rear of the car, I curled the corner as play would allow. This brought them into line and I was nicely surprised how easily they clicked into place 😀

I had my seat out yesterday for the first time, fortunately got it back in without too much difficulty.
What worked for me was sliding the cushion in with the rear edge as high as possible while clearing the seatback, then pushing the back down and pulling the cushion forward to properly locate the back clips. Then I was able to feel the front clip locate and got it to clip in with a couple of tries. For removing the rear clips I found holding a hammer by the head and using the butt of the handle to push the wire back worked really well.
