Default Looks Like I'm Going To Be A Cyborg.....

X-Ray of my hip shows collapse of the femoral head (left side) with the added onset of Osteo Arthritis and avascular necrosis.

I've been booked in for a complete replacement sometime in the next 6 months.

A bleedin' hip replacement at 39!

Hi David,

Sorry to hear this.

The good news is that I know several folks who've had hip replacements and all have been very successful with excellent mobility.

Fingers crossed for you.

I am sure that there must be some relief in knowing the discomfort this will relieve - onwards and upward.

My wife has had both done. The new ones are a big improvement.
My tip of the day would be to invest in one of those electric reclining chairs for while you are convalescing, having a high, comfortable and assisted chair will make life easier when you need it most. Oh, and raise the bed, it all helps.
