When I got home I called the crime stoppers number to give them details of what I witnessed and was asked the following question. “Did you get the persons name and address” ? |

Sorry to hear about this mate.
At least it doesn't sound too horrific to put right. I'd happily see them "cut off" with their own saw . |

Unfortunately it's been like this for many years, back in the 80s I had some Rick Heads try to steal my Orion from a hotel car park in Kent, they caused £200 worth of damage and all I got from the police was "We'll give you a crime number for your insurance". Didn't get the car because the rota arm was in the hotel room with me..

I read a long time ago, that it was standard practise during the war to remove the rotor arm on all military vehicle (overnight) when in action. Indeed, not doing so could result in a charge.
As I said, I read it, as I missed conscription by a year or so. As an aside, I waved a cousin off at the railway station. He was actually in the final week of "call up". Mike

In the 1970's I lived in South London and with knowledge from my employment, it was common practice to remove the rotor arm. Later on, all I did was disconnect the coil.
The parasites have found the current trend easy pickings, but as ever, it's the assistance they get from the disposal trade that encourages them. |

a long time ago when doing my motorcycle test I loosened the cap on the spark plug as it didnt have a rotor or a lock of any description. (Engine Villiers 9F 2 stroke). Came out of the test center with the tester and forgot the loose cap and couldn't start it! I failed because not enough hand signals; the problem was not enough hands. If you are using a twist throttle, brake levers on each side plus a hand gear change there is not much left to wave around as a hand signal! Passed next time though.
The way in Suffolk to get rid of bodies is to put them in the septic tank! |

*Update*
New cat back on. Old one was literally hacked off, lambda sensor and all. Car now sounds like its unnatural quiet self again. Total cost was £270, since they were able to repair the old exhaust. MIJ in Walsall, you've been a bleedin' godsend. Thank you.
