Took the rear drums off the Freelander and cleaned the dust out of the shoes and mechanisms. Would have been an easy job if the drums hadn't been seized on solid - this is a new Freelander for me so they went back on with some Copaslip and should fall off next time. Fitted a vortex PCV. Just need to sort the NSR window motor, finish the service and it's good to go.

Took the vortex PCV that I fitted yesterday back out of the Freelander. It had a small thin foil hologram sticker on it, and thinking about it I didn't want to risk it coming off and dropping into the engine. The shop had applied the sticker, not the manufacturer, probably some sort of quality mark. Scraped it off and refitted the PCV. Peace of mind and all that.

Changed the number plates on the HRV. Not easy to do when the screws have rusted away!

Because I didn't sort out the ABS wire on the Rover (just waiting for the connectors to arrive), it gave me time to help the plumber and sparky with first fixing for the kitchen units. Lots of drilling, filling, avoiding live cables, killing off old cables and pipework plus lots of making good, making tea and tidying up! Base and wall units to be fitted once the walls are smoothed, squared and levelled, appliances to be fitted, then sit back and watch my "chef" appreciate the handywork! Give 'em the tools and let them do the job!

I can not remember.......it’s been that long. Don’t want to remember either. Did my stint and now comfortably got my feet up. Aaahhhh the memories.
