I have heard him mentioned here a few times.

I am intrigued, but I wonder how on earth I would get my car up there and back. It it accessible by public transport at all? And is he typically working Mon to Fri 9-5?

I wonder if I could leave my car up there for a week... Hmm...

Buses run to Chester-le-St, then from there the local bus service to Woodstone ( the number 71 if my memory serves me well). I used the local service last year I mentioned the local service earlier.

I might be worth having a drive up to have a chat with Dave and to check out the unit and the location as it's quite busy with limited parking. Dave is so popular that can take a while to get booked in . Sometimes when I call in for a chat there may be no sign of him as he carries out his MOT's as a nominated tester at another garage .

I might call in next week for a quote to fit my new rear arms to the tourer as the MOT is due at the end of August .

I will have to get in touch. I didn't realise he did MOTs too.

My car has been on the drive since September, so I let the MOT expire. It is going to a local place for a test on Thursday, but last year it did have some advisory items on, I think, rear upper arms and a front something. I got the impression the local place were not keen to do it, but didn't say so directly.

Hopefully the test will be OK, and I can take to Dave some time in May or June. I actually have a couple of other non-urgent jobs I would like doing, so it would be nice for someone who knows their way around them to have a look.

Thanks for the bus info.
