Rear light cluster corrosion
Been getting bulb failure warnings (N/S rear fog light was first). After a quick look I've found the galvanised hard track terminal tags in the bulb holder are rusted and other bulbs are flickering/going out randomly. Anyone come across this issue/found a solution - the socket terminals are dirty but they are either plated/solid brass so I can clean them but can't do much with the bulb holder metal tags; is a replacement holder the only way forward 'cos I've an MOT just a few weeks off.

Mine suffered the same fate. I attempted to clean the tongues with an emery board, but even pinching the plugs gently and smearing the connectors with vaseline, the blown bulb warning would illuminate from time to time. It was an improvement but not a solution.
I changed the rear light lenses in the end for some good secondhand ones. It cured the problem. Good luck.

Yes, my offside was causing problems. I also had to clean the contacts in the connector to fix it fully.
