Values of sought after cars of any make have pretty much been thrown out the window. If it’s the car for you then the value is almost irrelevant.
I sold an MG TF around 7 years ago and I’m on the verge of buying another albeit at about 5 x the price I sold the last one for. Only you can justify its worth but nice examples of all older cars are getting rare.

The last sold ordered 75 Tourer. Paid for by the Phoenix Four and handed over by John Towers to the Warwickshire Northampton Air ambulance service as a Rapid Response vehicle

Forget the service history because it has not done the miles for one.
Is it solid and free of damage/repair?

A full service and new tyres and you may just have a little gem to drive and look at.

Many thanks to all for taking the time to reply, I just needed a bit of reassurance.
