Default IT question

I'm having issues with video items playing on things like Facebook.
The preview stills are sometimes slow to load, especially when scrolling but even more frustrating is that prior to running, the video image frame just fails to start and either shows a never ending swirling 'clock'/black screen, very brief video then black screen or just a black screen.
It's Apple hardware, I've re-updated the very latest OS (took hours and hours on Wi-fi as I didn't have an ethernet adaptor for the router - that's next on my to do list).
Anyone had similar issues and maybe point me in the right direction

There is not a lot to work with here but I would start powering down your router, leave it for 30 seconds and power it up again.

I don't have fruity hardware only penguins and building components so I can't help you with your endpoints
