Default LCD issue

Hello
The 04 75 I drive has the usual failing LCD display - MPG, average speed, fuel consumption etc. Can one be salvaged from a MK 2 speedo unit or is this a bad idea on every level? Thanks

The best permanent fix is a new replacement IPK lcd screen. See my post here for full details https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...d.php?t=317910

I have them made in batches. The deadline for the current batch was yesterday but there's still time to order before I submit the order quantity next week.
