It's on my to do list in the next few years, electric ZT. Going to see what's involved in taking the new MG electric drive train and transfering it over.

As already said, good to know it's possible, and cost would be useful.
Thanks for finding this, and putting it on here. Mike

I believe the car has been discussed by many and explained in detail by @efb.
Threads that are a must read https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...d.php?t=308332 and here: https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...d.php?t=308394 efb has certainly left an impression

If anyone is interested in electric rolling stock, you should have watched the T.V this morning, Rip Off Britain. Electric cars.. What a rip off. Chap had a Citroen all electric one. Got in one day and would not start. Had it repaired, he thought. Still no good. Had it looked at again, and a new inverter? Was required. It only cost him around £5,000. Cheap car eh. Another person had a Nissan Leaf, and his broke down, would not accept a charge. I think that was around £3,000 to repair. That’s just north of what my last two cars cost me to buy before I had the one off my son.. Cheap init⛽️.

A couple of years ago I was talking to gentleman who had bought a 2nd hand Nissan Leaf in the springtime from a dealer down south. He was very pleased with it and enjoyed the novelty of an electric car. Autumn came and he noticed that the heater wasn't working ,so he contacted the dealer who advised him to have it diagnosed by the Nissan dealership who quoted him around £5,000 to replace the heater unit ! The dealer, on hearing the cost, was trying to wriggle out of the warranty !

I've just watched this......chap kept talking about a Citroen garage that couldn't seem to fix it, yet in the clip of him driving, it was a Peugeot (albeit, I had a feeling that model was actually built by Mitsubishi...??)
Then Angela Ripon started talking about something called an 'inventor' I think she meant 'inverter' TV programs that are going to criticise a manufacturer or industry, really should ensure they get their own act together before going on air
