Default Undertray on EBay (new)

Has anyone bought one of these?
Nice and new but they look flimsy compared with original ones.
The ad does state not OEM.

I have fitted a few, they do the job but they are no where near the quality of the original

I thought that might be the case.
When I stopped buying MGR cars I gave away 2 original ones.
Not convinced they are a good idea.

Not that one. I fitted a short (ZTT) undertray. It was aftermarket from an eBay outfit called Roverlink. It cost more than that, fitted ok and it’s been fine. No sound insulation on it though like the OEM examples which were unavailable. Apart from at oil filter change time, I prefer to have the protection of an undertray for the bottom of the rad and sub frame.

Try and get a used one in good nick, they are available as I got two (but need both, sorry). Alternative is a new one from Rimmers, not cheap but they do appear to be OEM

I ordered one of the Rimmers OEM ones, but it never arrived (they were awaiting stock). I gave up after a couple of months and got an eBay one that took a couple of days to arrive.

What do you think of the quality? Any good?
Sound insulation can be easily added.

The short (ZTT) Roverlink one has been fine. It fitted. It’s stayed in place protecting the subframe etc. A bit of a pain at oil filter change time as it gets in the way, but otherwise good for 3 years so far…

Ah, out of stock. Been there done that with Rimmers on other less expensive items, frustrating.

I have fitted one of these to my CDTi after the original one disintegrated. They are OK for the price, but you need to transfer the heat shield over that protects the area close to where the exhaust changes from the downpipe to the CAT.

Mine now has a few splits in it. Is suspect that I may need to get a new one in the next couple of years when this one starts leaving pieces behind on the road.
