Hi-line 16x9 bordmonitor upgrade
I fitted this a couple of years back and felt very pleased with myself!! I plan to fit the BM54 radio module and bluetooth when the weather improves and after I solve the remaining rainwater leaks into the boot (which is proving baffling but I'm getting there). In order to access all the IPK functions ie mileage remaining to destination I understand a clock module has to be added, anyone have a know-how or can offer advice?
Also...for some reason I can get speed camera alerts but then everything goes French language, any idea why/how I can fix it? |

I failed to mention that I'd also fitted the plug/play DVD Mk4 drive/reader (with the latest available disc which I think is 2021) and have a gen. 7 (or 8) ULF unit and the BM54/video module jumper loom (an off-the-shelf job from Germany) but haven't figured out the bluetooth wiring yet but suspect there is something suitable in the BMW Mini range of bits. Do you have any info. regarding the clock module I mentioned, it must be integrated somewhere on a E39/46 because they have the full 'computer' readout but that's all I know so far. |

I did this last year. I fitted the clock module (bought from Duncan) and wired it into the MK4 DVD loom. This then displays time and date on the screen, and also gives ETA when satnav has a destination entered
