can you look at the system logs in your router it may tell you whats happening

Is it likely to be a quick drop out of the mains ? We used to see that nightly just after midnight, but no computer in those days. As though there was a change-over switching somewhere .

Tonight, with new router.... no drop out .... so far...
I wonder now whether the old router was causing the lock-outs and crashes I've been suffering from for months.... in which time I've changed the mother-board, CPU, PSU, Thread closed = problem resolved
