Default Headlight conversions and DRLs Gallery thread

Hi all,

Prices and options can be found here: https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...d.php?t=260808

To start off, here is a thread for photos of all the various 75 and ZT headlight conversions I've done These pictures include DRLs fitted to standard lights and also the bi-xenon conversion upgrades I do. Thought I'd make a gallery with pics of previous installs in one place so you can see what options are available, as I am often asked what options are possible.

Here's some pics of the very first installation I done on a xpower grey ZT. A set of bi-colour white/amber angel eyes were installed to halogen projector headlights. The DRLs are white and come on automatically when the key is turned to position 2 in the ignition, and then turn off automatically when the ignition is switched off. The halo rings also flash amber when the indicators are applied. The DRLs have been set up to dim 50% when the sidelights are switched on to comply with DRL rules, as that way they are not at their full brightness at night which can be quite blinding.

The headlight lenses were refurbished as well

Default Bi-xenon Upgrade for a ZT 260

Made this set of bi-xenon upgrades for a ZT 260 recently. The owner went for the black edition option on these where all the reflectors and projector housings are painted black, and requested that the halo rings be set up to work as sidelights and for only the outer projectors to be used as a dipped beam, and for the inner projectors to be for main beams only. These headlights were set up to meet these requirements

The halo rings used for these headlights are CCFLs and are not as bright as the ones I use for DRLs, which makes them perfect for sidelight use, as the DRL halo rings I use are too bright to use as sidelights.

The factory xenon burners were replaced with brand new 6000k burners to match the sidelight halo rings much better.

Default Bi-xenon upgrade set with Green DRLs

This was a pretty unique one off set that I done for a quite well known ZT.

I was asked to do a set of black edition bi-xenon upgrades with green halo rings as the DRLs. Chris (the owner) wasn't sure whether he wanted to have 4 green halo rings or just 2 halo rings (1 in each headlight on the outer projectors), so I gave him the option of having both by fitting switches to the inner two halo rings so that they can be switched on or off. So he has the option of running just the outer green halos or all four. He also asked that I fit an amber halo ring to the inner projector on both headlights to flash with the indicators.

These headlights have 4 x xenon projectors, giving 4 x xenon dipped beams and 2 x xenon main beams

With just the outer halo's on:

With all four halo's on:

Here's pics with the dipped beams on, notice all four projectors are on:

Default Bi-xenon upgrades for ZT500 Racecar Build

Here's some pics of the headlights I done for the ZT500 racecar build which is currently in progress. These were made to a racecar requirement where the halo rings come on as sidelights and then switch off when the dipped beams are on.

Default DRL installations

Here's a couple other DRL halo ring installations I done previously. The first set were done on mkii headlights and the second set on mki headlights.

Mki set with bi-colour white/amber halo rings on the outer projectors and white only on the inner projectors. The outer halos run as white DRLs and flash amber with the indicators when the indicators are applied.

Default mki ZT Bi-xenon upgrade with bi-colour halos

Here's a set of bi-xenon headlights I done for a ZT earlier this year. Bi-colour halo rings were fitted to these too so the DRLs are white and they flash amber with the indicators

Default black reflector lenses

Some pics I took whilst painting a set of reflectors black. They first have to be sanded back to remove the original chrome paint. The chrome coat is so poor on these in some places it can come straight off with a wipe, so all of it has to b removed thoroughly before painting.
