Yes but keep it off work surfaces, better and safer mix equal parts baking soda and powdered sugar together.

There's a runny sort of goo that can be bought in a tube over here . The ants love it. They collect it up and take it back to wherever their nest is.--It does in the ants and grubs and in just a couple of days, no more ants.

There must be a similar goo sold in GB.---

We use these, seem to work well, got 1 in the corner of the kitchen, all poison is contained in the trap.
