I reckon we could do with trying to sort a group buy on these, as they've been NLA for quite a long time now and from my experience are often damaged.

I agree.
The side with the plastic stud gets all the road muck thrown at it and the inner skin wears away as a result. Here's mine - the bolt hole side is double skin as usual but the stud side is only single because the inner skin has disintegrated. |

Here's the surface that's visible from under the car. Water & road muck gets trapped under the stud side (arrowed) - that's why the inner skin falls to bits.
