It's no use inside the car but you do have a lovely hammer. I suppose you could keep one of those in your trousers' pocket

All you need is a spring loaded centre punch.

It's just a dummy to fill the hole left after fitting the temp gauge to a 2 hole panel I wouldn't have thought it very difficult to really fit it
