Default New bonnets from Xpart (damaged)

Has anyone has one from Xpart recently and it been in undamaged condition.

I brought one last October that came in the original bubble wrap that was undamaged so it was not opened until needed which was last week.

When opened the body shop identified damage what would cost nearly as much as the new bonnet to rectify so it has been returned.

I have heard off other damaged new 75 bonnets and am starting to think this is not uncommon.

Has anyone had this problem?

If you have brought one and put it in storage you might want to unrap it and check the condition!

If I get stuck does anyone have a brand new bonnet that is undamaged that they would part with for a special car that I saved from being written off. With the paint costing £400 a Litre I do not want to use a old bonnet.

With the current trend of paying delivery drivers peanuts and giving them far too many deliveries to do in a day, it is unsurprising that damage is happening. I've seen drivers climbing over parcels to get to the elusive one. They then set off with nothing strapped or tied (as we did when I did the job!). I stopped a driver the other day who was losing parcels out of an open side door!

Would it not be worth heading up to Rimmer Bros in person, inspecting then bringing a new bonnet home with you Kevin?

I had something similar when I bought a new boot lid for my last car, and I ended up heading north to pick up the item from near Coventry.

I'm sure that I've read here that a bonnet will fit in the back of a tourer......don't quote me on that though.

I've never had any body panel sent successfully by carrier, the worst example being a premium bumper that was completely ruined by the time it arrived.

Yup....... Chances of having a bonnet delivered without damage is zilch

Can confirm that a 75 bonnet will fit in the back of a tourer I've done it on more than one occasion single handed too.
