I'm using Philips Extreme +130s at the moment. They give off a bright, long beam and I can really tell the difference from the standard bulbs I had before.
Thing is, they've only been in a couple of months so can't comment on their longevity I had read reports that they don't last long but then read that they do We'll see how they go but, definetly good bulbs

The Nightbreakers lasted about 18 months, I have yet to see how long the Bosch ones last.
It's annoying, as it's such an easy job when you can see what you're doing, isn't it?

As I said, I couldn't do the missus's C3's bulbs, for the same reason in that I couldn't see.

I think I've just lost my touch.
In my younger days, I used to relish Mini manifold bolts, where everyone else I knew always struggled and used to call me in

18 months?
I very much suspect the failed bulb is original. Ie 15 years!
Which does make me think about sticking with OEM type spec.
Too late though, I've gone with the nightbreakers.

I'll bear your suggestion in mind though, if the Osram fail quickly (fingers crossed).
Thanks.

It does seem to be a problem with the dipped beam bulbs for some reason, I've had the car for 10 years come February and replaced both bulbs 5 or 6 times using originally generic bulbs then trying Nightbreakers then now the Bosch, in the same time I have never had to replace the full beam bulbs

I also get the impression that the brighter the bulb the shorter the life.

I've been looking at 120 type bulbs and some of the reviews are terrible, suggesting both blown in a few weeks!
Which is exactly what I don't want.

I sincerely hope yours last a lot longer than that.

On a slightly related note...

' The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long' (Tyrell: film: Blade Runner)

Happy Birthday (incept date) to Roy Batty.

Film buffs will get it.....

Yep, my thought too.

And the film's probably in my top 10, so I recognised it instantly when I read it in one of the other threads
