shhhhhhhhhh .
Don't mention words like that. Its been an expensive time of late as it is. . House move , Washing machine and wheel bearings. Beans on toast for me for the next six months im afraid lol.. ..... Just a quick update. It was just the wheel bearing ( front ) that needed replacing. The grand total was 135 pounds.

Well today I've changed that drastic rubber boot on lower ball joint (what a pain)
Changed front pads and checked and cleaned all brake lines. Also checked all front suspension why wheels was off. So tomorrow check & clean the back brakes and everything else Hopefully then it will be all sorted for mot next week |

Took The Flying Banana to the Rover SD1 meet in Meldreth. A very nice Escort Mexico came along to visit. Been with the same owner for the last 25 years.

Had to get a puncture (big wood screw in tyre) repaired
Hardly worth it as I need to change all four before too long ... but no choice really since there is no spare & I'm still saving! Tyre guy was an MG fan though - TF & MG6 - so had a good chat. Last edited by brickie501; 2nd August 2014 at 20:27.. Reason: silver lining |
