In that case & I think this has already been said, I would ditch the cheap & nasty Sky hub/router & buy your own dual band ADSL router (Netgear, Dlink etc etc). With that you shouldn't need any extenders at all.

So does that go for my new Plusnet fibre router too. The signals as flaky as the the old standard one. There but drops out & not as good as you would expect.

I would keep the router but buy a set of mesh networking points. I currently use the BT whole home wifi which is probably the first BT branded product I've ever recommended in my professional career! It works with all ISP's so you can carry on using Sky and just connects into your existing router.
I currently have it connecting out as far as our barn which is quite a distance without any problems. The really nice thing is that if the furthest disc still can't connect you can 'hardwire' it using a set of powerline network adaptors and to set that up it's just plug and play, no need to reconfigure as the discs just figure it out.

Yes, Plusnet routers are Zyxel cheap tat. If you look up the datasheets for them, firstly you'll see they're only available via ISPs, and secondly one of the selling points is how cheap they are |
