The best Android heat unit for 2020?
Noble and regal gentlemen,
It is time to upgrade my 2001 radio with one of these Android 10 radio units. I saw many threads here. Unfortunately not that active. With Android 10 many things were fixed. And now you can open up 2 apps simultaneously. Music and GPS for example. Like in new cars. I want one with a read camera. I will bring it to a service provider to install it. I have no idea how that works. So my question. What latest and greatest model would you recommend for me? I am located in Germany and would buy it from Amazon. Any help is highly appreciated. God speed |

I purchased an Xtrons unit and am pleased with it. Should do all you need.
Rear view camera is optional but i think pretty much most after market ones are compatible. https://xtrons.co.uk/bmw-various-and...gb-rom-pa7046b

This looks premium!
Congrats. It is a huge upgrade. Is it Android 10? Do you installed it by yourself? Does it have a rear camera? Thanks again. Can you recommend me a good one on Amazon? There are so many models. Great picture again. And sorry for so many questions. |

Actually Trikey put it into the car initially but it's been out a couple of times now for one reason or another and was no problem refitting at all. You will need to cut off the plastic "ears" at the top of the unit as these are for BMW fitting but other than that its a straight swap and all leads are supplied. It is Android 10 and a rear view camera is an optional extra but as i mentioned before aftermarket ones are also compatible.
https://xtrons.co.uk/car-media-fitti...ersing-cameras I don't use Amazon so can't help you there i'm afraid but my model number is PA7046B so i guess a search for that might bring up results but i think Xtrons will ship worldwide so i would probably advise buying direct from them.

So gentlemen,
As stated. I want to give my noble Rover 75 an update and bought this here, with an integrated Android Auto: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B08...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It arrived today. Really nice unit. So I went to my Rover and removed my old Alpine Radio. I watched tons of YouTube video. Plugging in such a head unit should be doable. Even for an amateur as me But it didn’t work out. These are the cables when I put our my old radio: https://ibb.co/xzbt6Y1 This is my old radio lying on the floor: https://ibb.co/BCfwfnh And this is the back of my new unit along with the adapter / harness which doesnt fit the cable: https://ibb.co/xzbt6Y1 Any chance to make this working out? As you can see on the first picture, the red, yellow and blue parts won’t fit into the adapter or radio directly. I have noi problem to hire somebody to make this fix. On amazon it is stated that this is made for a Rover 75. Otherwise I will return it. If any of you noble gents can help out, I would appreciate it very much. I'm looking into getting one of these myself and don't fully understand the set up yet but i think you need some adapters. Check out the xtrons website.
