Default Fitting front hub to hub carrier

Hi can I just check the correct procedure for this? I have 6ton press, which has proved just about up to the job of getting the front bearing out and fitting the new one.

Now I need to get the wheel hub into bearing and I am bit worried about the inner bearing separating if I get it wrong.

The instructional videos say to mount the hub onto the press platform and press the hub carrier down onto the bearing. With pressure being applied on the inner bearing race, which in this case is the magnetic reluctor ring?

Is this a safe method or will following it damage the bearing?

The inner race is inboard of the magnetic reluctor ring, so use a socket of just under the same diameter and you should be fine.
