Well today even though it was raining a swimming pool, I decided I had to get the new replacement rear drop links fitted ( thanks Eurocarparts for getting them in next day, thanks to being let down by An Amazon seller with Quinton Hazell parts! advertising them, taking payment and then telling me 4 days later they were not in stock!).
Was a fairly straight forward job, as they had already been sprayed to make sure they would loosen off easily. I got soaked laying there... and LOW and Behold.. I come in for a Nice Sunday Roast and the sun comes out and dries up all the rain?? Whaaattttt in the voice of the Minion.... said I. Now to find myself a scrapyard with an MG6 with K series "style" engine, so I can copy Supervinnies Mod.. very nice it is indeed. ... very jealous. Oh and it has been done Vinnie... pop over to .org... been done on a 25 almost identical layout of badges. Last edited by Seafrost; 3rd May 2015 at 14:16.. |

Quietened my loud pattern part exhaust down by stuffing some exhaust wadding in to one of the two pipes. More of a trial or test, it will likely blow out eventually despite how tight the fit is.
Pleased to say the car is much quieter, now I know what I have been missing. Such a refined car. I will keep an eye on it, I could easily weld a washer or something in to hold the packing in more permanently. Save myself another ~ £40 on a replacement klarius. One day I'll get a stainless Longlife custom made for the car. Chuffed with myself regardless. 😀

I remember I did this once a long time ago when a car I was given had an aftermarket twin outlet fitted and was really boomy. (It was a company car and I was doing upwards of 200kms a day) I used something like a Fire Blanket stuffed up one of the outlets as far as it would go. An amazing difference!!!

Are you sure, have you tried it yourself?! Hacksaw blades hardly touch stainless steel due to it's hardness Plus being a flat blade it would end up cutting half way into the hose !

it is how I did it, but, I only went through the edge of the ring, and halfway into it. then peeled it back with a pair of pointy nosed pliers I stopped with the saw, once I touched the hose
