"Check engine" on Message centre
Suddely, I appear to be getting the "Check engine" message on the display whenever I hit a speed bump or pot hole.
I did the obvious and topped up with oil the other day, as I'd used a little.. probably half way between the marks (hadn't been topped up since December). Any thoughts anyone? Cheers, Michael T

Frankly no that could be a tricky one to track down but it might be worth looking at the H02 sensor connections though
Another option is to see what is being logged in the ECU if anything, either via testbook or perhaps if you have an obd scanner handy that might offer a clue |

I had this on mine, and Keith put it through his T4, very Helpful.
Came up with LP Fuel sensor amongst a list of other things, and it is alright according to Handbook to drive it whilst it is on, well on the Diesels anyway. Keith's Diagnosis was correct, replaced and now fine, and out went the Light. Now its back again didn't Know it should pick it up, but it is now the Maf which has definitely died! Ordering one from Rover Ron on Pay Day. Last edited by JohnDotCom; 21st August 2007 at 00:15.. Reason: Corrected as was LP Fuel Sensor NOT HO2 code fault! |

John I don't remember yours having an HO2 code as well I thought the only thing we noticed that may have caused it was the LP fuel sensor ?
Maybe I have lost the plot, seeing too many cars, getting muddled etc |

Right I had to go and check it was beginning to bug me.
It was me cracking up Keith not your Memory, It was indeed the LP Fuel Sensor. Sorry to anyone for misinformation given. The Maff is really NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- though and not even the Synergy can save it! |
