Default Sunroof the first problems

is it a big problem but where the sunroof cover slides a cross my dad went and grabbed it and snapped its runners off as he use to his Armstrong Siddeley sunroof that you grab and push back is there anyway to get the runners replaced as they've snapped off

The easiest way is to fit a new sunroof assembly complete.

Get one from a scrap car, it takes a couple of hours to change it over.

its not the sunroof its self that works but its the lining slide that you slide over needs fixing as its clips snapped do i actually have to spend a few hours on something that just needs such a little thing

It's probably the clips, you can get them off ebay but you need to check the size, I think there are two. E46 BMW ones if I remember correctly. Look it up on here how to do it. Just a few torx screws either side on a dry day. 10 minute job.

I know it’s not the sunroof but it is a hell of a lot easier swapping the complete unit, trust me.. I’ve done it!

Trying to fit the little clips in is a horrible job that will have you swearing within 5 mins.

Are you not confusing this job with another Trikey?
I really would not fancy changing a complete sunroof and when I changed the clips on mine there was nothing difficult about the job

Nope definitely not!

I can change the full sunroof in less than an hour, the clips gave me nightmares trying to get them in!

I had to change the two front clips on my sunroof when I bought my ZT and I found it easy enough to do as well. A lot easier that I thought it was going to be, seemed a bit daunting having to take the sunroof glass out but a few Torx screws and that was it.

Have a look at this YouTube video regarding a BMW e46 sunroof, same as the 75. Someone else posted this before but not sure who so thanks to them. I seem to find it's the BMW bits that let these cars down

Thanks to all of you for helping reason why I don't want to replace sunroof is because I want to keep the car original as possible.
