Just partially read this so begging forgiveness if any previous posts.

Much is made in everyday life from all corners regarding NHS provision. As every year goes by we are also inundated about worldwide population growth.

With nearly one hundred years of ICE vehicles of all sizes, many fuelled by demon diesel, and with constant prophecies of doom about poisonous particulate exhaust emissions, there doesn’t seem to be much to worry about from that point of view.

There is also, conveniently, scarce attention paid to the horrible practice of very young children being cruelly forced to mine materials for these silent killers. Has anyone thought of why the children are used?

The access to the vital Lithium is through tunnels dug out as small as possible so as to minimise costs! Doesn’t anybody have a conscience where profits are concerned? What about the very young chimney sweepers of over a hundred years ago? Does nobody see any comparisons there? In the pursuit of dogma? There’s plenty of self flagellation about the cruel slave trade currently.

Funny, that. Talk about being taken for a ride. In self-satisfaction.

The plan is to eventually tax the hell out fossil fuel and of anyone still using fossil fuel cars.
Done the same with cigarettes over here, over $20 a pack now!!
See the latest news reports on the Highways Code update, New laws and upscaling of VED.

Oh, Germany is going to mix a new chemical into fuel, call it e-fuel and say it be o.k. to use for for German ICU's made after 2030. Who would have thought those lovely Germans bending and ignoring EU law.

Surely Steve that has always been the way if a vehicle is in short supply. I remember when people had to put their name down to get on the list. Some were very lucky in that the vehicle model they ordered became sought after and thus carried a price premium. Many sold the vehicle at that higher price when eventually it was delivered.

Don't know why there is a F-Type shortage as it is not only manufactured in the UK.

It's been given the chop with an exemption for high end technical cars that will only run on synthetic fuel only, The EU were wanting an entirely new class of vehicle that would only run on synthetic fuel but couldn't be run on fossil fuels.
The latest vote last week was approved by Brussels with Poland voting against the regulation, with Italy, Romania and Bulgaria opting to abstain.

Synthetic fuel would be rather pricey for the average motorist. https://www.transportenvironment.org...stion-engines/

The exact issue we have here in Austealia.
All this green washing, trying to sell the clean dream.
You cant tow anything with ev any distance as it halves your battery range.
You cant fast charge your batteries as doing it halves the battery life.
So towing somthing you could maybe go 200km them every time you run out you need a 30 minute re charge- if you can find a free charge point.
Over here if you had to stop every 2 hrs for 20 minutes it would add a day in travel time to most trips.
Its all a bit of a sad joke really- unless your a city dweller.
Welcome to a world where EVERYTHING you have relies on electricity-
your money, your mobility , lets see when we have the next power cuts!!

Oh 'eck! Every Jaguar i-pace made are being recalled because of a spate of battery pack fires, eleven in all. The packs were made by LG Chem who also made the battery packs for the GM Bolt which were recalled because of fires & replaced free of charge, the new packs came with a new 8 year warranty.
It was a manufacturing fault in the production line apparently which has now been rectified.
It must have cost LG Chem an absolute fortune as three years on they've still not finished replacing the battery packs in the GM Bolts. https://electrek.co/2023/06/02/jagua...ery-fire-risk/

Some good news for jobs as Tata group picks the UK over Spain to build an EV battery plant for JLR & Land Rover.

"Homegrown battery production will also help British automakers comply with post-Brexit trade rules that will require them to source more electric vehicle components locally to avoid tariffs on UK-EU trade from 2024." https://europe.autonews.com/automake...=hero-readmore
