OK -- Just changed the fuel filter and no change to performance, it's still intermittently losing power on acceleration and engine performance dips when idling in neutral on the drive.
EGR Valve inspection is next, hopefully not chasing my tail here. It may even still be the MAF that is faulty, but still no fault codes appearing. Kind Regards Larry |

Hi Brian, How's the weather in Newcastle, you got snow?
Played golf up your way in more normal times, great places to golf around there and out to the coast. On your comment, did you mean to type that the fault would NOT be generated when the MAF is unplugged? It's amazing that last time I took the MAF out and cleaned it a few weeks back it went like a dream after that, but perhaps the MAF has just deteriorated. I'll unplug and see if it goes away. If it does then I need to bite the bullet and buy a proper MAF and avoid after market cheap parts. Regards Larry |

OK Disconnected the MAF and it drives like a dream.
Is it conclusive that it is a faulty MAF? If it is, can anyone recommend a particular make that has been successful? I'm looking at RIDEX part which is stated as high quality and compatible with the original part number MHK101130 https://www.autodoc.co.uk/ridex/13633473 Regards Larry Last edited by larryr123; 11th February 2021 at 16:37.. |

Hi David, I think they have gone into administration. No response from email -- I have used them before and there is a message on the telephone line to say that the administrator had stopped the calls.

HERE or HERE for example. Cheap MAF sensors can be likened to rolling up a handful of tenners and setting fire to them, this is definitely a case of buying cheap and buying twice Brian |

They have a number of .co.uk websites to give the impression that you are dealing with a company, with stock, in the UK. The stock is actually held in Berlin and then they use a shower called GLS Group, which providing they don't loose it, will normally take several weeks to deliver. They manage to achieve a spectacular 90% negative reviews https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/gls-group.de
