Fix Or Repair Daily ... lol..

Just kidding. The Capri I think will remain more iconic than the 75 or ZT, must have a very mature parts supply by now as well.

I remember in the late 70's with Triumph Heralds/Spitfires/Vitesse/Gt6 that spares for those were getting difficult for cars no more than a decade old. These days I believe there's many spares now available new that you couldn't get for love nor money back then. (no idea on prices though). maybe the 75/ZT would eventually have got there. But I suspect that they'll be a severe culling of modern classics come 2030-35 with the whole electrification thing going on. The older classics will undoubtedly continue for as long as the fuel is available.

Take care - I've always loved your ZT and hope you find equal or greater enjoyment from the next motor.

Hey thanks guys.

I'm sure the Capri will keep me busy, it's certainly iconic as you say. I cant go anywhere without waves, smiles and chats, that's when I can get out and about that is. This year I insured the Capri for 8k as an agreed valuation, had to send in photos and pay an extra fee etc. I just cant believe how much the price has increased for these motors, it's crazy...

I've managed to accumulate a shed load of spares for the ZT, not forgetting the TF. I've sold quite a bit of TF spares on ebay, and I was going to do the same with the ZT spares, as its easier to list photos.

Sadly it gets quite cumbersome listing photos on here when selling something, but I don't want to cheat you guys out of something.

But I guess many of you may find me on ebay anyway. lol

Have you got tapatalk on your phone Wes? Its easy to upload pics straight from the phone camera to the forum.

I used to use a hosting site, but as you say that's very time consuming, tapatalk is definitely the way forward for pics on here.

I've not used tapatalk yet Andy, I've seen in pop-up when I've been using my phone, but not tried it out yet.

Hi fellas, I've just been contacted by the guy who bought my ZT, he's just messaged me to say the engine management light has just come on as he was pulling up to his house, he said the car started idling a little rough.

Upon re-starting the car the light stays on and he can hear a faint top end knock. I'm a bit concerned as the car had none of these issues when I owned it, no lights on dash, no knocks or rattles.

The guy is being ok about it, but I feel bad as the car had no issues, and now weeks later he's got problems.

Check the coil packs. I had this on mine where a coil pack was faulty. Caused a slightly lumpy run and brought the management light on. Replaced and was fine since.

Thanks Rick, I will pass that on.

It's blooming typical isn't it, and only three weeks down the line. I reckon the car is missing me, it's throwing a strop.
