Default Portland Dorset Sunday May 13th

Not strctly in the South West area but...
First thing is to say that this is an unofficial event and as such the owner of the club is no way involved with the event and the meet is not covered by the club insurance ..
Well folks the new year is upon us and with the promise of warmer weather to come it's time to make plans for our 2012 Portland get together..Now as many of you already know I try to avoid the meet at a pub and look at the cars type of event as they are already well catered for..So this year we will again meet at the Boat that Rocks who along with the Portland marina management are very keen to have us return after our visit in 2011 which I think says something as both businesses will be very busy with the 2012 Olympic sailing events..
Details are as follows
When...Sunday 13th May 2012 at 11.00 ish
Where...The Boat that Rocks bar & resturant located at the Osprey Marina Portland Dorset DT5 1DX.. www.theboatthatrocks.co.uk where we will again have our own parking area..with the opportunity to have a self guided tour of the nearby 16th century Portland castle or have a stroll along the quay and learn a bit more about the area and it's history and indeed it's plans for the 2012 Olympics & the future..
There will no free boat trip this time but I am happy to organise one at cost (around £5 pp) if enough are interested and I will ask nearer the date..BUT there will be something a bit different (family friendly) to keep us entertained over lunch ..BOAT TRIP IS NOW ADDED SO PLEASE LET ME KNOW NUMBERS GUYS ALSO A FEW OF US A GETTING TOGETHER ON THE SAT EVENING SO IF YOU DECIDE TO MAKE A WEEKEND OF IT YOU ARE MOST WELCOME TO JOIN US
Names below please
Cheers Ian

Hi Bob you are on the list, as always no firm committment needed yet just need to get an idea of numbers. No doubt someone will jump at the chance of a drive in the Banana.
Cheers Ian

Will be doing my best to make it to this one.... After spending NYE down there, it should be pretty easy to convince the other half to take a trip down and a night in a hotel.....
