Fitting an Undertray the right way round
Is there a right and wrong side of the undertray? Maybe if I had a genuine part I could tell, but my Polish plastic "copy" looks completely symmetrical either side except for a small sloping indent with 3 holes in it around the mid point of its length on one side - or a sloping raised piece - depending which side you look at it. Sorry Guys for a such a silly question! My "new" CDTi came without one. ED

It should be slightly concave front to rear edges, with the concave side'looking up at the engine'.

Surely it should have soundproofing and a heat shield on the top side?

Looking at this photo, there appear to be holes for at least 8No., and possibly 10No. fixings. How many were there when new? Derek. |

Here, marked in yellow circle - 10. (Ten).
These are the correct Fixings - although others do fit alternate screws etc. Personally I prefer these. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-Pair-Eng...S4C5zTSBEr1SUw Cheers.

The cutout on the left side in the photo is for draining the oil?
