time for a little picnic
Lots of work done on my car, surely I should enjoy it a bit too.
So I had this daft idea of going for a picnic , since I found my old picnic hamper I'd never used : Everythign except food inside. Fortunately I have that covered. Fitted in nicely in the boot: So we went off to southend on sea, gale force winds, and sat in the car by the sea front and had our picnic, and a trip to a nearby pub when we'd been blown about enough. I love having a Rover, its an excuse to become a walking sales catalog lifestyle cliche.... Hope you all had a nice sunday lunch too (shame about the weather though )

Warms me old cockles, going to sarfend.
Should of tried the beach / collection of stones. Shoeburyness and the lovely myriad floaters. What animal is that brown one, Dad? You need the tartan rug, trilby hat and box of handkerchiefs for the full effect. And travel sweets. Can't forgot those. |

Picnics feel s right in a 75. Here is a pic from our first picnic shortly after we got the 75. Watching some classic saloon car racing at Donnington Park.
All home made by me!

Lovely picnic hamper--makes me want one! I remember going to Southend as a boy--to the Kursal--a funfair type place. The old wooden framed roller coaster was terrifying!!! The fish and chips was fantastic there though.
