but the black square plastic ones and the ones that clip into the centre metal "plate" seem not to be mentioned anywhere.
Known as the BMW clips these can be reused many times. On some of mine they were missing though!!

Did my drivers side last weekend , was loose at window jamb.

Much better now, good and tight.

Biggest problem I had was the centre clips. The card came off with an upward push no problem. The clips were still attached to the door. Lots of persuasion required to squeeze the spring on the door clip to remove the sliders.
all worked out in the end and happy days.. no squeaky!

It should pop into place with a nice click. You will however find that your first few goes, it simply doesn’t, but persist and do it gently. The angling can take a few goes to get right, and you maybe have to move the door card up a few mm here and there to get it in.
i've been trying to refit my door cards to get rid of annoying rattles, to no avail.

i've followed this guide, and used a yellow fir tree clip in top rightmost position, but the rear door breaks away consistently at the top edge by the window. Worse still, it vibrates and buzzes still.

I can't see how the clips by the top of the bottom edge of the window work.

I also can't see how you can angle the door card when you've already put the door locking pin into the chrome bit - it won't angle then as it is restricted by that pin. angling it then will simply pull that pin out??

I really can't get this. can somone please explain how these clips actually work? does the top edge of the door card need feeding in above them? below them? Even with this detail, from what I'm looking at it makes no sense to me?

The yellow fir tree clips are a cheap copy and will not hold the door card in place, you need a genuine red or white fir tree available from Mat at DMGRS.

Angling the card is quite easy even with the door lock pin place. Hang the door card on the top clips and thump it down quite hard so the top clips bite into the card then let the card swing back toward the door and then give the middle a hefty whack so that it engages on the centre clips. Once you've achieved that line up all the other clips and tap the card into place starting with the fir tree at the top.

thanks for the reply, but I can't really see it working out how you say from what i've tried. i'll give it one more try but i think i will just be forced to tolerate the rattling until i sell the thing.

The rattling will more than likely be the yellow fir tree not holding the card tightly enough to the door.

i have some red ones, but I don't think any are oem ones, maybe i should give them a try. i did not realise that not all fir tree clips were created equal!
