If I was looking for 400bhp for nothing then the Jag would win but and its a big one.
In a sporting saloon id prefer a manual box so a zt v8 would win the day |

If I didn't have my Rover 75T it would be a Jag, been looking at a XF sportsbrake S Portfolio.
The S type actually looks older than the ZT. Problem I have is I'm not impartial so down to horses for courses. R75/ZT V8 is rarer though so should be a better investment.

The jag is ugly and an auto, so a definite no. Wouldn't matter if it was free, I've never understood having a car like that with a lazy auto gearbox.

I hope their tuning is better than their engraving, it looks like a 5yr old has scrawled that on! And the S type has notoriously poor suspension, they are forever falling apart and cost a fortune to replace.

I used to have to etch serial numbers on id plates. Although only occasionally though, when i did do them mine were about as good as that. If you don't do it often it's harder than it looks!

Its all about a steady hand and a good setting on the engraver

for balance, so the 'heretics' don't feel all alone, personally I'll admit i far prefer the Jag S type R - much better engine, and the S type looks and fitment levels are absolutely as good as the Rover 75 to me. Sorry if its heresy round these parts, but If someone offered me to swap both of my Rover's for one S type R i'd do it in a heartbeat. Tbe jaguar engine is a far more refined engine, and the 260 engine is not a V8 I would have wanted to see in a british car - I'm not a fan of american v8's, especially not that mustang lump. Supercharger out of the box is rather nice too.
