Today was another very busy day.
The whole car needed a very good clean after a few long trips last week, and the new roof box needed a bit of a wash over so the dog can see the rabbit as it were. So, the top box is in reasonably good condition, some scuffing as advertised, but nothing too shabby. Here are some better pictures as promised: The mounts are a bit cleaner than yesterday, and the rover logo embossed into the security caps is a nice touch: as is the rover badge on the side: The lid's scuffing is seen here, and may or may persuade me to get it sprayed body colour So that's the roof box. The rest of the car needed my detailing programme finishing off, so I did the following after the wash: Put on another coat of Autoglymn Super Resin Polish Put on Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection and left for half hour (more in fact, I don't move that fast around the car when I'm going panel to panel) Coat of Harley Wax left to dry for a while too. The harley wax was a devil to get off, but I used a bit Autoglymns rapid detailer. Smells very pleasantly of bubble gum, and did the job a treat. Now, because the roof box was fitted, I omitted the roof from this work, so I have to redo those steps on the roof panel, but that is not a long job. But other than that I'm done with the paint correction. Here are some of the highlights of the results:

as an aside, I hit my personal record on miles from a tank yesterday - 571. Not bad.

thanks Phil, knowing how high your standards are on your car , that means a lot coming from you.
Harley wax is great stuff for sure. I found it a real pig to get off today though, as its not that warm. I ended up making it a bit easy for myself with rapid detailer. seems as though it didn't harm things too much! I hope you feel better soon, take it easy mate, and hope to see you again soon.
