190 brake conversion

Hi folks

Just a quick one

I've got the 190 brake calipers, carriers, discs and pads to go on to my ZT V6 160 next week, do I need the 190 brake hoses as well, or are they the same as the ones on my car currently?

Thanks; I've since seen that other folk have done the conversion and haven't changed the hoses!

Anyone want to confirm further?!

I (or the garage I use) used the same hoses when I upgraded my 160 a few weeks ago. No real need to change the hoses

You don't need to change the hoses as the 190 hose is shorter than the regular one. What you may find is the hose has a bit of a tight loop from the bracket on the strut to the calliper, when I changed mine I bent the bracket slightly to remove the strain on the flexi.

Just painted the calipers and carriers Hammerite satin black; the cars in on Tuesday to have the full brake overhaul done

You don't have to swap the hoses - but they are different. I would (or at least, I would fit braided hoses).

I will be doing come the new year; the HEL lines I usually use on my cars won't be available until later on next week and the cars in on Tuesday. After that I'm struggling for time as I've meetings with clients coming at me left, right & centre!

The set up I'm putting on (on the fronts) will be a temp measure until the New Year and then I'll probably put a more aggressive set up on (Mtec grooved discs with EBC Yellowstuff pads) etc

Hoses are not required, you can use your original.
