The Duraflex solid PU bush seems to be based on directly opposite principles to the two part PowerFlex low resistance coupling. I'd expect considerable differences in feel and driveability as well as service life. I have the impression that the beefed up rubber bush design derived from the OEM units are more favoured. Is there any convincing evidence that one or other design is the best?

Good idea about long term reviews. My powerflex went on 6 years and 60,000 miles ago and still perform fine

I fitted Powerflex to my 260 12k miles ago and I can say the difference was instantly noticeable, the ride seems more compliant but also the steering is more precise.

My original bushes were still in good condition but with some leverage you could get them to move but the poly bushes are a lot stiffer.

Also on the 260's it is a lot harder to replace the original bushes as the bolts wont come out without dropping the subframe, replacing them with poly means you just need to remove the old bush out of the carrier in situ and refit the new poly bush with some large washer and threaded rod.

I had them fitted for years (4 years / 60k) and they just worked. Not really much more to report.

I looked at those Duraflex polyurethane bushes a while back when I fitted my rear diff bushes on my Freelander, I thought then that they would be a pain to fit.

They would have been much better in two parts as are the Freelander bushes, and the power flex ones, a couple of years ago we had some doing the rounds which came and were produced in Poland these turned out to be good and fitting to the casing was easy as was to the car.

They also had slotted sections in the bush so you could service them each year with some grease photo's attached.

I do not gave any feedback as to how they are performing as I sold the car, I did have a spare set which a nano member had from me, he will be visiting again this year I will ask or try and take a look at them if he as fitted them.
