2016 Project
ok, bought the Dorchester Red V6 that was on sale down in Huntingdon. This will be my little project for 2016, so I wanted to get something posted up here as a statement of intent to commit myself
Picked it up Friday evening, its a nice runner, although the engine idle is not right at the moment, no other big immediate problems. A good clean on the outside took place this morning and revealed this: I've decided she is going to be a looker like she once was. short list of immediate jobs: Full service Interior lights mismatching leds - needs fixing Oil catch tank (not sure if i want this on here, i don't understand these things) blown headlight bulb odd wingmirrors (one bullet, one skullcap) headlight glasses almost opaque bmw side indicators ( not sure if they need removing, i'm a stickler for OEM usually, but my wife is the boss on this one) Passenger door latch occasionally sticks New stereo needed (my preference would be navall3 this time) New speakers needed I think she deserves to be returned to the beauty of her youth. I also think my wife deserves a car, and I think my family deserves a V6 in their life Filthy inside, but nothing I'm scared of. Easily fixed with my usual combination of love and elbow grease. Let me know if you want to hear how this story takes shape in 2016?

I'm sure your wife will be very pleased when it's back to its former glory.

thanks guys.
more pics as requested: and this is the stereo inside - I don't like single dins in the rover console, it looks like the last chicken in the shop, but clarion is a good make I always thought, so it might be worth not being too hasty when considering ripping it out. Does anyone know if this actually sounds any good? I can't find much about it on the net?

That looks great already. To my eye it was initially black, but after a while I tuned in to a reddishness...
