Gammon and Sausages - a trip to Aladdins Cave
Today Paul (129c) and I had a little visit to Gammon and Browns of Baldock, Herts. A tiny place in fact in a nice little town:
I was the main reason we were there, I fancied some nice rover cups for my picnic hamper. They are gorgeous, not to expensive, and fit nicely in the cup holder: Either cup holder: Paul agreed and bought some too. So in order to carry this heavy stuff I also needed a bag. Tesco asks 5p, so we won't have that, I want some value for my money. Only the raspberry rover holdall will do: Also needed was a travel kit bag to clean up after all this excitement: Quickly followed by a lovely document case holder - comes in a lovely bag of its own: and looks like this: Why did i want it? Well I thought it would be a nice place to hold all my brochures: Since I'm far too keen to get my cards out to buy stuff, i decided far better i find somewhere to put them out of harms way in future too: What a great day. So after all that I felt I deserved the perfect coffee. Thanks everyone, enjoy....

Indeed a nice little place albeit smaller than I expected and im sure they have more laying around in that "second warehouse" than they were willing to admit too. :-)
That said, Baldock is a quaint little market town where the local cafe serves the smallest big breakfast in Herts. Next to feel the severe wrath of the Visa card should be this cave of delights!!! |

Ah Baldock; the bussing stop in the old days, prior to heading down to London. It used to be heaving with scores of coaches and hundreds and hundreds of passengers and a thriving cafe community.
On our choir outings to London, it was the best place to buy stink bombs and other tricks, with which we plagued the underground passengers. Prior to going to Battersea Park funfair to inevitably sink one of their rowing boats. Baldock now is a very quiet nice little market town. |

they also did these, but I think they run out. I bought some last week, which is why i hit upon the idea of popping down there to save the postage fees and risks on the bone china items. I bought 4 cups for my picnic hamper you see, plus 1 for the house:
also just to prove the travel kit is genuine, i had it facing the wrong way in the other pic: rather a good days haul i think
