Would you not rather have this than v8?
Interesting question, but would you not rather have a jaguar s type r than a 260.
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...type&logcode=p This particular one, although high mileage has been looked after very well. It's been tuned since 2008 and is around 460 bhp meaning 0-60 in less than 5 seconds. There are plenty around the £5k, £6k gets you a sub 70,000 mile car. In my opinion a better car? The Jag is a nice car, but the 260 has a magic about it that you just can't put a finger on. I would go for the 260 all the time plus they made a tourer version where the Jag did not.

Jag is a good car as is the V8. The Jag is not for me I think it's ugly. The 260 and particularly the 75V8 is for me but that is just a personal preference, which funny enough is why I am on a site for enthusiasts who have the cars......
You just take it upon yourself to constantly say how overvalued the car is and how much better everything else is at every opportunity, it's like a broken record Last edited by Dominic22; 5th March 2016 at 11:31.. |

260 for me. The s type is ugly, especially that one.

Let me see, insurance on the Jag vs insurance on the 260. Think I would prefer the 260.

Standard 3 litre S Types won't stay on the road - I know, I had one, so God knows what that would be like to handle!

For me personally I prefer the ZT, especially the ZTT V8.
