Default rear trailing arm bush zt

hi all,
just found these while looking for bushes for the rear of my zt.
would there be any benefit fitting these or is it better to fit oem.

I've not ever had to change this bush on any of my fleet, but given the choice between paying £70.68 for a pair of Powerflex or £31.18 for a pair of genuine MG Rover items I know where my money would be

thanks for the reply.

i have not had a chance to have a look at the rear suspension yet but i get a loose feeling while driving over uneven surfaces and a general twitchy sloppy feeling to the rear.
i replaced both rear springs last year so i know there ok.
would it be possible these bushes are worn. number 3&4?
if so what tool do i need to remove them.

thanks....

When I rebuilt my rear suspension I needed two new rose joints (item 3) and two of the large bushes for the front of the trailing arm but the bushes (item 4) were fine.

You will need a puller to change them. I used a universal puller kit (had to add a couple of washers as access for the rose joints is limited with the back plates still attached). You can buy a specific puller for this job if you prefer.

Yes, I too know where my money would go... Powerflex.

Having said that, I fitted similar bushes to the rear axle on my car (Renault Megane) and it was quite a lot stiffer riding than you'd expect afterwards for just a bush.

The bushes are shared with the BMW 3 series. The M3 units are about the same price but stiffer if that's your bag.

If it's the rose joint on top of the rear hub then this is what I fitted - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221528783767
