thanks for the reply.
i have not had a chance to have a look at the rear suspension yet but i get a loose feeling while driving over uneven surfaces and a general twitchy sloppy feeling to the rear. i replaced both rear springs last year so i know there ok. would it be possible these bushes are worn. number 3&4? if so what tool do i need to remove them. https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-GRID001553 thanks....

When I rebuilt my rear suspension I needed two new rose joints (item 3) and two of the large bushes for the front of the trailing arm but the bushes (item 4) were fine.
You will need a puller to change them. I used a universal puller kit (had to add a couple of washers as access for the rose joints is limited with the back plates still attached). You can buy a specific puller for this job if you prefer. |

Having said that, I fitted similar bushes to the rear axle on my car (Renault Megane) and it was quite a lot stiffer riding than you'd expect afterwards for just a bush. Quote:
