Electric Boot Release Not Working on 75 CDTi
The Boot release mechanism on my very late (March 2005) CDTi is not releasing the boot lid. I can clearly hear the mechanism latching when I press the Button in the driver's footwell or hold down the key fob (so it's not a Fuse) but it just won't release it. I know there is an emergency cable release on the offside inside the boot and this can reached by removing the rear seat. Any suggestions for a permanent fix please?

Wind the rubber stops on the lid out slightly

Usually to get the boot open in these circumstances someone needs to press the release and a second person apply pressure to the boot.
When you have the boot open just unscrew the rubber stops on the lid 1/4 turn each side
