There are loads on eBay, depends how much you want to spend.
Some are able to take updates via the manufacturers / sellers website. |

this is all you'll need - those others are overpriced, as they'll be unlikely to give any more info than the inexpensive ones I have a similar reader - does the job Paul. |

What ever unit you decide to buy make sure it can do live data, this can be help a lot when diagnosing problems.

Car is obd so an android smartphone and an elm327 based Bluetooth dongle will work (around £3 ebay, they are all knock offs as the original elm chip alone costs 10x that). The app you need it torque. Basic fault codes and live data.
It should be noted you will only get engine data, you can't test actuators etc. For that you need rover testbook/T4/VT4 or similar. There is also toaf that will work with an El cheapo cable but undecided on that. Autel make some great tools but have categorically said they won't add MGR full support... Annoyingly they have saic mg support but only on the most expensive kit so all are limited to obd (engine) info, whereas my md802 will speak to 23 ECU's in my Chrysler. |
