Exclamation Engine management light query

Upon start up I have never seen the engine management icon light up 2 questions is it supposed to be within the ipk (I think that's what it's called ) or just below along with The other ones . As my ipk has lines missing (common apparently) please help .
Cheers in advance Paul

Hi Paul,

IPK stands for instrument pack. The display to which you're referring is the 'message centre'. The 'check engine' light is below that, along with the other warning lights as you say. If it's not illuminating when the ignition is turned on then some skulduggery has taken place.
